ASRC Federal Space and Defense is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support the C-SAR Contract in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities
- As part of a small team support the USSF C-SAR contract. Responsible for testing COTS applications, custom software, and satellite specific data products in the Command and Control System -- Consolidated (CCS-C) integrated environment supporting MILSATCOM operations. Applications are hosted on Windows, Solaris, and Linux platforms.
- Prepare and execute formal acceptance tests, as well as evaluating software maintenance changes to include collaborating with development personnel on unit and integration testing. Daily test status will also be required during test periods. In addition, the individual will maintain regression tests. Supporting the on-site sustainment team with user acceptance testing and problem diagnosis is a secondary responsibility.
- Use your knowledge of, and adherence to software CM practices is crucial to consistency across multiple systems.
- Current Security Certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II) or obtain one within 90 days from start date.
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
- 3 years of experience in a MILSATCOM developmental or operational environment or Satellite Command and Control systems experience.
- 4 years of experience in system/software application testing is highly desired.
- BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in a technical environment.
- Must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer.
- Familiarity with Agile software development cycle is highly desired.
