ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Senior Project & Program Support Specialist to support a NASA contract in Washington, D.C.

Job Description: NASA LEADS Program will focus on the development of civil servant scientists who have a high potential for assuming greater leadership roles. The 12-month, part-time cohort program will require in-person and virtual sessions. Participants will also complete a capstone project. NASA LEADS is open to all civil servant scientists from GS-13 through GS-15, including supervisors. In this position, the candidate will support the LEADS Program development efforts, ensuring it aligns with policy, agency goals, and Human Capital Strategy. We require support for in-person session design and implementation, program evaluation data collection and analysis, and in-person session facilitation. This is a part-time support at NASA HQ.

Responsibilities

  • Identify methods used to create and deliver leadership development programs for NASA Scientists
  • Utilizing knowledge of standard operating procedures for Office of Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO) training programs, strategies, procedures, help design, develop, and implement innovative and long-term cohort programs
  • Serve as key team member in the design, development and implementation of an inaugural leadership development for science professionals (LEADS)
  • Develop cohort selection procedures and program evaluation methods
  • Help design, plan, and deliver in-person, virtual, and hybrid sessions for LEADS Program
  • Develop and implement safety & emergency plans for in-person sessions
  • Serve as faculty during in-person sessions
  • Deliver and debrief personality assessments for cohort members and provide associated leadership development support
  • Maintain an electronic filling system, both electronic and physical for the LEADS Program
  • Additional duties as required

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Familiarity with NASA LEADS Program
  • Experience and knowledge of the policies, procedures, and methods used to create and deliver leadership development programs for NASA scientists
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures for NASA OCHCO training programs, including communication plans, Talent Marketplace strategies, cohort selection procedures, program evaluation methods, and safety & emergency plans for in-person sessions
  • Experience developing and coordinating year-long leadership development programs
  • Experience designing, planning, and delivering in-person, virtual, and hybrid sessions for leadership development programs for NASA scientists (including experiential learning, moderated panels with NASA executives, workshops with external experts, and NASA Centers’ tours
  • Experience delivering and debriefing personality assessments for cohort members and providing associated leadership development support
  • Ability to work as a vital team member while projecting professionalism and leadership capabilities
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to act quickly and communicate clearly in dynamic situations
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and think critically to create innovative solutions for customer and team needs
  • Expert knowledge of Office 365 suite and NASA-specific platforms
  • Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA HQ. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job
  • Some travel will be required

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related professional experience or 11 years of related professional experience in lieu of degree.
