The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) team is seeking a project planner/scheduler to support engineers with the development and maintenance of project schedules. WAAS is a satellite navigation aid developed by the FAA to augment the Global Positioning System (GPS), with the goal of improving its accuracy, integrity, and availability. The position supports the engineering team with the planning and scheduling of software and hardware modifications.
Responsibilities:
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years.
On-site presence will be as required by the FAA.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project level schedules for annual WAAS Maintenance releases utilizing MS Project and waterfall scheduling practices.
- Manage multiple project level schedules for different teams ensuring they are accurately incorporated into a higher-level Integrated Master Schedule.
- Maintain program level Integrated Master Schedule.
- Deliver weekly/monthly status reports to program managers.
- Prepare and present Program Status Review.
- Conduct weekly meetings with engineers for project tracking and analysis.
- Adheres to configuration management (CM) requirements, and performs changes as required.
- Uses knowledge of Sprint Agile practices to support software development.

- A CAPM or PMP certification is preferred.
- Experience with FAA Earned Value Management System is preferred.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Experience implementing Agile practices.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic environment, and be flexible, independent, and proactive in their responsibilities.
- Good written and spoken communication including developing technical documentation.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) within Microsoft Project
- Strong background in industry scheduling best practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
