ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) seeks a Ground Operations Integration Engineer, Associate to join our team at Kennedy Space Center, FL. This entry level position is responsible for the development of the operational products related to the Orion vehicle avionics and flight software. The operational products include the Operations, Maintenance and Requirements Specifications (OMRS), System and Subsystem Concepts of Operations, Work Assignment Documents, trade studies and other NASA directed efforts.

Role/Responsibilities
- Will develop ground operations vehicle requirements, including the following subsystems: Mechanisms, Umbilicals, Structures, Thermal Protection, Propulsion, Purge, Vent & Drain
- Review and integrate vehicle subsystem technical requirements, develop subsystem concept of operations, review drawings, procedures and other documentation relative to subsystems, monitor ground processing operations.
- Individual must reside at/near KSC, FL and have the ability to travel, as necessary.
- Normal working hours are 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Will be expected to adjust their schedule accordingly to support off-shifts and weekend activities, as needed. Overtime and surge support may be required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience with MS Office Software Suite.
- Pass Site Specific background investigation.
- Physical ability to climb stairs, access work platforms, visually observe operations tasks and walk short distances to safely enter/support/exit processing facilities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Basic familiarity with Spacecraft ground operations, test and checkout of mechanical and fluid systems such as Mechanisms, Umbilicals, Structures, Thermal Protection, Propulsion, Purge, Vent & Drain, handling and transport
- Basic experience reading or generating design drawings/models, schematics and specifications
- One or more years of experience as a Spacecraft Engineer or related field.
