ASRC Federal is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support our Logistics/Supply program.
Job Duties
- Plan, implement and coordinate contract activities as it relates to the processing of Department of Defense deliveries.
- Uses the government’s web-based distribution and transportation system to log, track and download military shipping labels and transportation documentation.
- Follows clearly detailed procedures to obtain shipping instructions for material that may have specialized shipping requirements e.g. hazardous, perishable...
- Completes online forms to obtain required shipping information.
- Processes transactions in ASRC’s warehouse management system.
- Coordinates with others doing similar work on what to work and solve similar issues.
- Communicates via email, phone and Microsoft Teams as needed.
- Interprets system generated error messages and takes corrective action.
- Notifies management when problems arise, makes recommendations and implements solutions.
- Attends conference calls as required.
- HS Diploma required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with the MS Office Suite.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Able to multitask and stay organized with all orders in various stages of processing.
- Prior government contract work a plus.
