Duties
- Assist in managing leasing activities, including lease or rental agreement management, tenant screening, and lease renewals using property management tools (RentManager).
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety regulations.
- Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses, preparing reports, and managing invoices within property management software.
- Communicate effectively with residents, prospective tenants, vendors, and team members to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant law), and other legal requirements through meticulous record-keeping and administrative oversight.
- Conduct data entry, filing, and record management related to leasing, maintenance, legal documents, and client communication.
- Assist in conflict management situations by mediating tenant concerns professionally and diplomatically while upholding company policies.
- Support team management efforts by participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to promote a cohesive work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity using Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management tools.
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and contracts related to leasing or rental agreements.
- Prior experience with property maintenance coordination or facilities management is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for daily operations and reporting tasks.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone etiquette and client relationship management practices.
- Experience managing budgets, upselling amenities or services to residents, and negotiating lease terms or contracts effectively.
- Office experience supporting real estate or property management teams with data entry, filing systems (including CMMS—Computerized Maintenance Management System), and administrative duties.
- Ability to handle conflict situations professionally while maintaining a positive attitude; experience in team management is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
