Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to join our Emergency Room!
The Emergency Services Technician (EMT) – will perform certain functions in the Emergency Department within their scope of practice and hospital policy for patients of all age groups (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric). The EMT will document all procedures, observations and/or patient care performed in the Emergency Department in the patient record. In addition, the EMT will maintain communication with other providers and assist the patient care team in providing service to the customer.
HOURS: Full-Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period. Varied shifts
Experience/Qualifications
- Knowledge of emergent patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous applicable experience beneficial.
- Possesses an active Wisconsin EMT license.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Basic computer skills and medical terminology beneficial.
