The Vice President – Heart Care Service Line reports to the SVP – Service Line & Patient Experience. The VP – Heart Care Service Line is accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction for the system. The scope of accountability includes overseeing and understanding all relevant dimensions of the services that are included within the defined service line. This includes a comprehensive understanding of market conditions, as well as the operational, financial, and quality components of the service line. Emanating from the development of a quantifiable methodology for defining and monitoring the key indicators of successful service delivery, the VP will work to define, develop, and implement all the necessary structures, relationships, and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals of Aspirus, Inc. through the attainment of immediate, near-term and long-term service line goals. Has direct reports as appropriate but must be comfortable and proficient working in a matrix management structure. Aspirus Wausau Hospital is the flagship of the Aspirus system that serves patients in 14 counties across northern and central Wisconsin, as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is a licensed private/not-for-profit facility with 325 beds and staffed by 350 physicians in 35 specialties. Aspirus Wausau Hospital is a Level II trauma center that provides primary, secondary and tertiary care services as a regional referral center.
