Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPIST to join our SENIOR WELLNESS PROGRAM team!The Therapist provides quality and organized psychotherapy for identified clients and families with special emphasis on treatment and discharge planning needs.
- Provide for referrals and community contacts.
- Manage caseload documentation.
- Function as a multidisciplinary team member of the geriatric psych day treatment program.
HOURS: Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period.
Experience/Qualifications
- Knowledge of counseling techniques and protocols normally acquired through completion of a master's degree in one of the following areas: industrial/organizational psychology, social work, psychology, community counseling, educational counseling, or professional counseling.
- One year of clinical experience with older persons and hospital or nursing home experience.
- Possesses Michigan Professional Counselor (LPC) license, Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) License
- Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) desired

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood's service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 3 bed ICU and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 12 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
