SAP Technical Architect (BTP Security Landscape Architecture) - Expanded JDResponsibilities:

Serve as the end-to-end SAP Technical Architect for a large-scale public sector transformation covering S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Security, and overall system architecture.

Design and oversee the full technical landscape, including BTP services, cloud extensions, integration patterns, identity provisioning (IAS/IPS), and system connectivity across SAP and non-SAP applications.

Define and implement a clean core strategy, governing custom objects, enhancements, extensions (CAP/UI5), APIs, and workflow automation.

Lead architecture assessments for RISE, BTP multi-tenant setups, identity management, and cross-system authorization frameworks.

Guide technical teams across ABAP, CPI/BTP, workflows, integrations, and performance tuning.

Oversee security architecture for roles, authorizations, SoD compliance, provisioning, and audit alignment across hybrid SAP landscapes.

Work closely with functional leads to ensure technical alignment for Funds Management and Grants Management processes, including workflow, security requirements, and integration points.

Provide architectural governance during design, build, testing, cutover, and deployment phases.

Ensure landscape scalability, performance optimization, failover design, and adherence to SAP best practices.

Conduct technical reviews, code assessments, and enforce standards for performance, security, and solution quality.

Collaborate with basis, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure seamless deployment and system operations.

Interface with business stakeholders, PMO, and SAP product teams to validate solution feasibility and architecture alignment.
Required Skills:

12 years of SAP Technical experience with deep expertise in ABAP, integrations, extensions, workflows, and performance optimization.

Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP, including CAP, Integration Suite, Workflow, API Management, Launchpad, and extensions.

Proven experience designing SAP system landscapes, including RISE, cloud/on-prem blends, and multi-tier architectures.

Strong background in SAP Security architecture (roles, authorizations, IAS/IPS, identity management, SoD considerations).

Experience supporting or architecting solutions for Funds Management (FM) and Grants Management (GM).

Experience guiding technical teams in large, multi-workstream SAP implementations (S/4HANA experience required).

Excellent communication, cross-functional leadership, and solution documentation skills.
-
Public sector or regulated industry project experience is highly preferred.
