Payroll Specialist
Location: Onsite at corporate office in Independence, MO
Schedule: Full-Time
About the Role
Aspire Senior Living is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our HR team! This role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for multiple senior living communities — helping support the dedicated employees who care for our residents every day.
What You’ll Do
Process semi-montly, multisite payroll using Paycor
Verify employee hours, pay rates, deductions, and adjustments
Manage payroll records and ensure confidentiality
Perform benefit reconciliations to confirm deductions match carrier invoices
Assist with internal and external payroll and benefit audits
Prepare payroll reports and assist with compliance filings
Partner with HR and Accounting on benefit and tax reporting issues
Stay current on wage and hour laws and payroll best practices
What We’re Looking For
3 years of payroll experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
Paycor experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of payroll regulations and benefit administration
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR/payroll systems
Ability to travel as needed to regional locations
