The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for the washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens, clothing, and other laundry items, ensuring quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items including linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing
- Operate washing and drying machines according to manufacturer's instructions
- Inspect laundry for stains, damage, and repairs, notifying management when needed
- Ensure that all laundry items are properly stored and available as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry room and equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including infection control policies
- Work collaboratively with other staff to support residents' comfort and well-being
Requirements:
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred, especially in healthcare or long-term care settings
