Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents with various physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities
- Conduct occupational therapy treatments and interventions in various settings, including private rooms, therapy gyms, and dining areas
- Collaborate with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care
- Monitor and record resident progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatments, assessments, and resident interactions
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and compassion
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Missouri
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or a related field preferred
- Prior experience as a COTA or in a related healthcare setting; per diem or part-time experience a plus
