- Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve resident function and independence
- Conduct occupational therapy sessions, including activities such as mobility, strength, flexibility, and cognitive exercises
- Use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to facilitate optimal resident participation and progress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and treatment plans
- Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
