Responsibilities:
Assist certified occupational therapists in the development and implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans for residents
Conduct individualized assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify needs and goals
Design and implement therapeutic activities and programs to improve residents' functional abilities and independence
Provide education and instruction to residents, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of treatment plans, progress notes, and resident interactions
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Requirements:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in the state of Missouri
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility and other physical needs
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
