Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Hoover is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Director of Clinical Services (DON) to lead our nursing department and help shape the future of patient care.

• Direct daily nursing operations and clinical services
• Recruit, coach, develop, and retain nursing staff and clinical leaders
• Establish and maintain high standards of patient care and safety
• Monitor clinical quality, documentation, staffing, and care planning
• Lead quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness initiatives
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
• Conduct clinical rounds and maintain a visible leadership presence
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary teams
• Build trust and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Strengthen relationships with hospitals, nursing schools, and community partners
• Partner with the Executive Director to support facility operations, clinical outcomes, and employee development

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; Alabama licensure or eligibility required
• Demonstrated nursing leadership and clinical management experience
• Previous Director of Nursing or Director of Clinical Services experience preferred
• Experienced Assistant Directors of Nursing with proven leadership success encouraged to apply
• Long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of clinical operations, quality improvement, staffing, and regulatory compliance
• Experience with survey readiness and nursing department performance
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop nursing teams
