Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. This position is available in either Cooper City or Miami.

The Patient Financial Specialist is responsible for providing a great patient experience by checking patient eligibility and insurance plan benefits. Includes utilizing online resources, calling insurance companies, and completion of benefit investigation form in EMR system.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. This position is available in either Cooper City or Miami.
Essential Responsibilities
- Check patient eligibility and insurance plan benefits via online payer portals and outgoing calls to the insurance plan
- Completion of benefit verification form in EMR system
- Following the department procedures to ensure timely completion of benefit investigations
- Communication with internal Patient Financial Services Staff and external practice managers when inaccurate demographic information is supplied
- Review and update demographic and insurance information in the EMR system
- Supports and actively participates in initiatives designed to improve individual and organizational performance.
- 1 year of work experience in Medical Insurance Verification is required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required - some college preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
