As an Ingredient Prep Operator, you will be accountable for accurately measuring, preparing, and labeling ingredients to support efficient, high‑quality mixing operations and maintain full traceability and food safety standards.

We are seeking an Operator, Bakery – Ingredient Prep to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Ingredient Prep Operator, you will be accountable for accurately measuring, preparing, and labeling ingredients to support efficient, high‑quality mixing operations and maintain full traceability and food safety standards.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 2nd Shift
- Hours: 2:00PM – 10:30PM
- Weekend Availability: Required
- Hourly Rate: $21 – $22
- Prepare and measure ingredients with accuracy to support consistent, high‑quality batch production
- Maintain ingredient traceability in accordance with PCE guidelines and documentation standards
- Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring proper labeling, rotation, and storage—including refrigerated items
- Keep prep, wash, cooler, and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with GMP and food safety standards
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Mixer, Machine Operator, and production team to support efficient operations
- Monitor and maintain proper functioning of scaling tools such as weight scales, scanners, and related equipment
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time to support compliance and batch integrity
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of general labor experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to accurately document ingredients and mixing data
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Ability to work with computers and operating screens
- Ability to lift and handle ingredients up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Familiarity with GMPs, SOPs, and food safety practices
- Problem‑solving and reasoning skills
- Experience supporting continuous improvement activities
