π Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, coach, and develop Therapeutic Youth Counselors for the girls' cottages
- Lead scheduling, training engagement, and performance feedback
- Foster a positive, accountable team culture
- Model trauma-informed leadership and conflict resolution
- Ability to respond to emergencies on-site
- Operate within residential and community environments
- Oversee daily routines, structure, and therapeutic environment of the cottage
- Ensure youth basic needs are met, including appointments, clothing, and daily supports
- Manage schedules and coordinate on-site and off-site activities
- Monitor expenses and support program operations within budget
- Implement and model evidence-based practices including ARC, Youth Thrive, CRM, LSCI, and Pro-Act
- Support individualized, strength-based interventions and case plans
- Promote a trauma-informed, inclusive, and healing-centered environment
- Lead and debrief crisis interventions, ensuring safety and compliance
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation and adherence to agency standards
- Support staff in maintaining high-quality records and reporting
- A BS or BA degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time years of experience in a behavioral health related field
- 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
- Certified STRTP Administrator (preferred)
- Experience in residential, behavioral health, or youth services settings strongly preferred
- Valid CA driverβs license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
- Ability to meet Community Care Licensing requirements (background clearance, TB test, etc.)
- Residential setting with a dynamic, high-energy environment
- May include evenings, weekends, and crisis response as needed
- Regular standing, walking, and active engagement with youth
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and respond physically during crisis interventions when necessary
