Job Title: Sales Representative / Project Manager
Location: Reno, Nevada
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $75,000–$150,000 (base salary commission) | Company truck, fuel card, and cell phone provided
Who We Are
Asphalt Protectors, Inc. is a 35-year-old full-service asphalt paving and pavement maintenance company based in Reno, Nevada. We serve a portfolio that is approximately 90% commercial and industrial, with government and HOA clients as well. Our services span new paving, asphalt repair, infrared treatment, overlays, milling, sealcoating, crack filling, line striping, signage, speed bumps, and grading across Nevada and California.
We are known for doing what we say we will do — with quality work, honest communication, and genuine customer service.
The Opportunity
At Asphalt Protectors, our salespeople do not hand off the job and move on — they stay with the client from first call to final walkthrough. We are hiring an experienced Sales Representative/Project Manager who can develop new business, estimate it accurately, close it, and then manage the client relationship through every phase of execution. You will track budgets and progress, handle change orders, coordinate with operations, and make sure every project closes the way it was sold. Industry experience is required. Strong performers here earn strong compensation.
You will work with company-provided leads and develop your own pipeline. You will estimate work, close deals, manage client expectations, coordinate with operations, and ensure every project is executed to the standard our customers expect.
If you are a self-starter who can sell, scope, and execute — and you want your compensation to reflect it — this is the role for you.
What You Will Do
- Generate and close new business through company-provided leads and self-generated prospecting
- Develop and manage long-term client relationships across commercial, industrial, government, Multi-Family, and HOA markets
- Scope projects accurately and estimate costs using company standards and Orange Book specifications
- Prepare bids, manage RFI responses, and handle all proposal documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial sale through project completion
- Coordinate with operations and scheduling to align field execution with customer expectations
- Conduct pre-site visits on significant projects
- Track project budgets, manage change orders, and ensure quality assurance throughout each job
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategic approaches to grow revenue
- Maintain accurate records of bids, contracts, client communication, and project performance
Who We Are Looking For
- Proven outside sales performer with experience closing deals and managing client relationships in paving, pavement maintenance, or commercial construction
- Strong estimating ability or demonstrated aptitude to develop it quickly
- Deep knowledge of paving, pavement maintenance, or commercial construction
- Organized, accountable, and able to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
- Excellent communicator — written, verbal, and in person
- Proficient with Microsoft Software Products, CRM, and Sales and Estimating Software.
- Self-driven and results-oriented with high standards for quality and follow-through
- Valid driver's license required
