About this Role:

Job Summary:

The Construction Manager with Telecom experience for outside plant fiber installation on fiber to the home projects. This position is accountable for the successful construction execution of the project and managing in-house and subcontractor crews. This position has the authority to allocate resources and make construction decisions for the assigned area in accordance with Division Policies, Standards, Guides and Contractual commitments.

This position is accountable for site safety, quality, schedule, and costs on assigned projects. This position is responsible for assuring availability of resources with proper expertise and tools to support assigned construction project execution. Must be able to perform accurate material and scope rake offs. Must be able to reconcile construction activities and manage scope change during construction. A strong understanding of construction practices and organizational skills is a must.

Accountable for managing the overall project execution performance including scope, cost, safety, quality, schedule, implementation, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities:

• Providing oversight of construction execution on all assigned construction projects.
• Must be able to maintain and manage sub-contractor relationships. Assuring that work is performed in accordance with project requirements.
• Manage and lead a team of employees, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Must be able to take corrective action as necessary.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Will be required to develop detailed material rake-offs and scope of services lists from RFDS's and Engineered drawings.
• Must track and coordinate material delivery, schedule construction, and drive completion to meet schedule and budget expectations.
• Reports project status and performance data as required to management.
• Identify and assess improvement opportunities, which will add value.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions. Able to perform the physical tasks required in this position for the entire assigned shift. Some exposure to odors, gases, dust and dirt may occur. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.

Lifting and carrying of 50 to 60 lbs. frequently is required. Job requires standing, walking, and sitting, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and reaching occasionally. May spend long periods of time driving and/or riding in line construction vehicles to reach remote areas of the service territory.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications:

• Provide verifiable evidence of experience in CATV construction field and prior supervisory experiencein construction or related field.
• Possess a valid driver's license (class "C" minimum) Be able to perform any necessary equipmentinstallation.
• Active listening to team members and business partners on the best way to resolve an onsite issue with material and construction build.
• Minimum Qualifications in fiber and Coax blueprints.
