Pipe Stress Engineer
Duration: Contract to Hire
Location: Phoenix, AZ
We are seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer in Phoenix, AZ for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting the design and development of complex industrial and commercial facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging engineering projects that directly support critical client operations while collaborating within a highly interactive, multi-discipline team.
In this position, you will be responsible for the technical quality and schedule execution of pipe stress analysis and related engineering tasks. You will gain exposure to client standards, project scope, budget requirements, and delivery expectations while working alongside experienced engineering professionals in a mentorship-driven environment.

Responsibilities- Perform pipe stress analysis and support design for industrial and commercial projects
- Support design development across multi-discipline engineering teams
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet technical quality standards and project schedules
- Conduct field verifications and coordinate with construction and site personnel as needed
- Utilize client standards, specifications, and project requirements throughout design execution
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and construction teams to resolve technical issues
- Provide input on equipment layouts, piping systems, and system integration
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience
- Working knowledge of pipe stress analysis and support design principles
- Experience working in construction or field environments, including site verification work
- Hands-on experience with pipe stress analysis software such as AutoPIPE and CAESAR II
- Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD and Navisworks
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in an onsite team environment
- Position requires onsite presence in Phoenix, AZ at least 2 days per week
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment
