Receptionist for Physical Therapy Clinic (Full-Time)

Job Description:

• Aspen Ridge Physical Therapy is Davis County’s most sought after outpatient physical therapy clinic. We’ve been treating patients for over 30 years, with the mission to help every patient Feel Better, Move Better, and Be Better!
• We are looking to hire a full-time receptionist. We will only interview applicants that have 2 years of experience as a receptionist in a medical setting. Your main responsibilities will be to: greet patients, schedule patients, collect co-pays, verify benefits, obtain authorizations, give new patient tours, communicate with doctors and insurance companies, answer phone calls and make patient reminder calls, etc. The shift essentially will be from 7:45am to 5:00pm Mon-Friday (some days you may come in at 8:30 and leave at 5:30). Pay depends upon experience, but in the $18-$20 range, with 2 weeks paid time off (health insurance offered for this position, if needed).

Job Responsibilities:

• As a Receptionist, you will have the following responsibilities:
• Be the 'Face' of the Company: You are the first person patients will meet, greet, and get to know. It is imperative that you are happy, kind, dress / act professionally, and enjoy greeting and talking with patients.
• Patient Care: Your main responsibility will be to truly take care of patients, welcome them, make them feel comfortable, talk with and get to know them, and be their friend.
• Answering Phone Calls: You will be responsible to answer all phone calls, call back any missed calls or VM's, as well as make patient reminder calls for every appointment.
• Scheduling Patients: One of your main responsibilities will be to manage the schedule. You will schedule patients for their initial and their future appts. You will also receive incentives/bonuses for how full the schedule is.
• Collecting Co-Pays: You are responsible for collecting co-pays at each patient visit.
• Tours: You will give patients a tour of the clinic upon their first visit.
• Medical Receptionist: Be the front desk receptionist for busy PT clinic.

Job Qualifications:

• Customer Service: It is required that you have 2-3 years of customer service experience. You must be very good with people. Enjoy talking to people, making them feel welcomed, being a friend to every patient, getting to know them, and calling them by name.
• Medical Terminology: It is required that you have 2-3 years working in a medical clinic and understand medical terminology.
• Medical Receptionist / Insurance Experience: Have worked in a medical clinic setting and understand how medical insurances work/operate. Understand medical billing and coding, ICD-10 codes, CPT codes.
• 2 years of experience as a front office receptionist / front office manager / secretary preferred. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE 2 YEARS AS A RECEPTIONISTS IN A MEDICAL SETTING!
• High School Diploma
• Be comfortable collecting co-pays from patients
• Most importantly, a desire to work in a Physical Therapy clinic, enjoy helping patients, and a good work ethic.
