Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists with patient intake, setup, and positioning to ensure safe and effective treatment sessions
- Support patient care activities by monitoring patient comfort and safety during therapy sessions
- Prepare treatment areas with necessary equipment and supplies, maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Facilitate communication between patients and therapists to enhance patient experience and understanding of procedures
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments
- Support outpatient, sub-acute, and post-acute care activities across a clinical setting
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical protocols to assist effectively in diverse care environments
Experience
- Prior experience working in hospital or clinical settings preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with patient service principles and patient care practices in acute or sub-acute environments
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and hospital medicine enhances your ability to support therapy teams effectively
- Experience with outpatient clinics or orthopedic rehabilitation is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in fast-paced settings
