Job Summary
Aspen Ridge Public School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Temporary & Part-Time High School Academic Counselor to support our students from August through November 2026. This counselor will work closely with students, staff, and families to ensure academic success and post-secondary readiness. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee student scheduling Conduct academic check-ins with all high school students Identify at-risk students and organize intervention meetings for those with Ds/Fs during progress reporting periods Collaborate with Fresno Community College (FCC): Coordinate and participate in Parent Nights, including: -- FAFSA Information Sessions -- Senior and Junior Academic Planning Meetings -- UC & CSU Application Workshops Provide student supervision and crisis response support Deliver academic counseling presentations in classrooms Perform other duties as assigned Employment Type: Temporary, Part-Time (August–November 2026) 24 hours per week
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience in academic counseling at the high school level Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to collaborate with students, parents, faculty, and college representatives Spanish-speaking preferred Knowledge of college application processes, financial aid (FAFSA), and community college partnerships
