Aspen Floors and Design is looking for an experienced, organized, and dependable Bookkeeper / Office Administratorto join our team in Meridian.
This is an important role within our company that combines day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities with general office administration. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, pays close attention to details, communicates well, and is comfortable managing responsibilities independently.
The ideal candidate is someone who doesn't simply enter numbers—they notice when something doesn't look right, investigate discrepancies, and follow through until issues are resolved.
Responsibilities include:
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Entering and maintaining accurate financial transactions
- Bank and credit-card reconciliations
- Processing and tracking customer payments
- Reviewing vendor invoices and preparing payments
- Maintaining customer and vendor records
- Assisting with payroll-related administrative tasks
- Maintaining organized financial and office records
- Answering phones and communicating with customers, vendors, and employees
- General office correspondence and documentation
- Preparing reports and assisting management with administrative projects
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Helping keep day-to-day office operations organized and running smoothly
Qualifications:
- 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting-related experience preferred
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience performing bank and credit-card reconciliations
- Comfortable working with accounting/bookkeeping software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
- Comfortable learning new software and procedures
- Flooring, construction, or trades-industry experience is helpful but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
- $25–$30/hour, depending on experience
