The Dental Operations Manager (OM) is the accountable business leader for a multi-million-dollar office, responsible for driving performance, leading teams, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires a shift from operator to full business owner mindset, with end-to-end ownership of results, team engagement, and customer experience.
Role Responsibilities
- Own total business performance, including KPIs, revenue growth, and customer/patient experience
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and execute clear action plans
- Lead monthly performance discussions and drive accountability for results
- Build and sustain a high-performing team through coaching, development, and clear expectations
- Create a strong leadership culture focused on engagement, development, and bench strength
- Develop a talent pipeline to support current performance and future growth
- Drive operational excellence, including scheduling effectiveness, workflow efficiency, and execution of standards
- Ensure consistency and discipline in day-to-day operations to maximize productivity and service delivery
- Operate with a business owner mindset, making strategic, data-driven decisions
- Align team and operations to organizational priorities and long-term growth
Work Experience
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of leadership experience with demonstrated ownership of team or business results
- Proven ability to drive performance through people, process, and data
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare or a comparable service-based environment
- Experience supporting or leading a multi-million-dollar business
