What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media & Video Editing Assistant position at Aspen Creatives?
ABOUT THE GIG
Aspen Creatives is a small (very small) boutique marketing agency working with fun, small- to medium-sized companies. That size gives us a ton of flexibility in how we work with them and what we create. The to-do list changes weekly and no two days look the same. If that sounds chaotic, it kind of is. If that sounds exciting, keep reading.
We're looking for a Social & Content, Video Intern who wants real hands-on experience, not coffee runs and busy work. You'll help create content for real clients with real audiences, and you'll see your work go live.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
- Create social media content for a range of clients
- Take part in content calendar planning, creation, and scheduling
- Edit short-form video using CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe
- Support content ideas from concept to post
- Use Canva regularly to build graphics and templates
- Jump in on the occasional one-off project outside of social, think branding or general digital marketing support as it comes up
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- A willingness to learn fast and figure things out (this matters more than a polished resume)
- Video editing skills in CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe, required
- Working knowledge of Canva
- A go-getter mindset. This is a young agency, so not everything is spelled out for you yet. You'll get direction, but you'll also need to bring initiative
PREFERRED
- Currently in college or have graduated in a related field (marketing, communications, business, etc.)
- Understanding of how tone & brand change by company
- Likes dogs (because the founder is obsessed!)
- Located in Colorado - though the nature of this work is remote, so this is not required
THE DETAILS
- 5 to 8 hours per week
- $20/hour
- Contract position (no benefits, heads up)
- Flexible, evolves with you. As you grow and show us your strengths, this role can shift toward paid ads, website work, or wherever your interests and our client needs overlap
WHY THIS ROLE IS WORTH IT
This is portfolio-building, resume-making, real-world experience. You'll work directly with a growing roster of small businesses and get exposure well beyond "just social media," think paid ads, websites, client strategy, the whole agency picture. Great for someone building a marketing career, switching into the field, or just wanting real work to point to.
If you like structure and a fully mapped-out job, this probably isn't it. If you are passionate about branding, content creation, and small businesses, and like to learn new things, lets talk!
HOW TO APPLY
Send the following to info@aspencreatives.com:
