About Us
LoCo Lab delivers innovative technological and system solutions that strengthen the livelihoods of independent farmers by placing them at the center of their supply chains. We are the technology partner on a $50M USDA-funded grant through Oregon State University to expand potato and hemp markets in the Pacific Northwest. In collaboration with farmers and Native American tribes, we are verifying sustainable practices through Farmer-First Verify, a blockchain tool to support farmers, and building a marketing pro
gram that gives farmers marketing support and tools.
Job Overview
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and independently motivated individual to support LoCo Lab’s administrative operations and its associated marketing program, Farmer- First. Our work focuses on empowering independent farmers and creators by building the technology, infrastructure, and systems they need to thrive. This role emphasizes scheduling, documentation, social media support, and professional communication to ensure smooth coordination across projects and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience or strong capability in scheduling and coordinating meetings across teams, partners, and external collaborators.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in managing, structuring, and maintaining organized electronic documentation and knowledge systems.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in supporting the management, structure, and maintenance of multiple social media campaigns.
- Strong professional communication skills, with the ability to correspond clearly, diplomatically, and effectively across a variety of channels.
- A proactive and flexible approach to working independently while also contributing to collaborative team environments.
- Interest in supporting innovation at the intersection of agriculture, creative industries, and emerging technologies.
General Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to a small, fast-moving team
- Schedule and coordinate virtual and in-person meetings across multiple projects
- Manage calls, emails, and requests with professionalism and discretion
- Track, process, and organize receipts and invoices
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date filing and documentation systems
Social Media Responsibilities
- Publish and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn per the content calendar for Farmer-First participating and other farmers for approximately 5-6 campaigns.
- Promptly flag engagement opportunities, anomalies, or issues to the team
- Track and report on basic performance metrics weekly, focusing on what types of content perform best, the channels highest interactions, best posting windows, and differences in metrics week to week
- Stay current on platform trends, algorithm updates, and emerging formats – and brief the team on anything relevant
- Coordinate with the LoCo Lab team to ensure posts go out accurately and on schedule
- Upload necessary assets to LATER for socials and from the post of Farm Stories
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and virtual meeting platforms (e.g, Zoom)
- Experience with online project management tools (e.g., Monday, Google Drive, Box, and LATER)
- Preferred background supporting creative or agricultural initiatives
- Experience with business social media accounts
