Social Media & Community Manager
San Francisco, CA | Hybrid (3 days in-office) | $130,000 – $160,000 Bonus Equity

About the Company
We’re recruiting for a next-generation data center business powering the future of AI with 100% renewable energy. They build, own, and operate their own infrastructure and are at the forefront of sustainable solutions for high-performance compute. Since launching in 2019, they've grown from a startup to a NASDAQ-listed company with facilities across North America and they're just getting started.
They're at the start of building out a 7-person marketing team in San Francisco, working alongside their commercial team (Sales, Solution Architects, and more). You'll be joining a high-growth environment where ownership and initiative are rewarded.
About the Role
They're looking for a creative, technically curious, and community-first Social Media & Community Manager to elevate their presence across digital channels and build a high-impact community around our AI Cloud and infrastructure solutions.
You'll define their voice online leading on content strategy, growing the digital audience, and fostering trust with customers, engineers, developers, founders, and partners. You'll collaborate closely with Marketing, Commercial, Product, and Investor Relations to tell compelling stories and position the company as a category leader in AI infrastructure.
This is a role for someone who can hit the ground running. You'll need to be confident building both strategy and execution with a high degree of autonomy.
What You'll Do
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Lead a global social presence across X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, Discord, Reddit, and emerging platforms
- Develop and manage an editorial calendar aligned with product launches, events, and the IR calendar
- Create and publish content that's relevant, insightful, and visually engaging, tailored to enterprise, AI-native, and technical audiences
- Partner with Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Commercial, and IR teams to ensure consistency and impact
Community Growth & Engagement
- Build and nurture a technical community on platforms like Discord and Reddit
- Launch engagement programs (AMAs, community spotlights, office hours) to foster trust and two-way dialogue
- Moderate day-to-day community activity to keep conversations productive and inclusive
- Identify and support power users, early adopters, and advocates to drive organic growth
Brand Voice & Positioning
- Define and maintain a consistent brand voice across all digital touchpoints
- Translate technical updates and roadmap developments into audience-appropriate, commercially relevant content
Insights & Feedback Loop
- Track platform analytics, community sentiment, and content performance to inform strategy
- Surface insights from social and community channels to internal teams
- Provide real-time user feedback to inform product positioning and customer experience
Thought Leadership & Brand Activation
- Support campaigns, launches, and event activations by amplifying our presence online
- Identify opportunities to participate in trending conversations relevant to AI infrastructure and cloud
What You'll Bring
- 5–10 years of experience in developer community, technical marketing, or social media roles preferably in cloud, AI, data centers, or infrastructure
- Proven ability to grow and engage technical/developer audiences
- Strong writing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, engaging ways
- Familiarity with key social media platforms (X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Discord, Reddit) and community tools/analytics
- Data-oriented mindset to optimize community and content strategies
- Self-starter, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
