Ball Park Groundskeeper

Position- Part- Time Ball Park Groundskeeper Facility Name- Sames Auto Arena Location- Laredo, Texas POSITION: Part-Time Ball Park Groundskeeper DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Director of Operations Summary ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a part time Ball Park Groundskeeper for ASM Global/Sames Auto Arena. This position is responsible for responsible for performing grounds, turf and landscape maintenance assigned by the Head and Assistant Groundskeeper. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform turf and landscape activities such as such as dragging the infield for in-game maintenance, raking, tamping and watering the playing field. Assist with maintenance and repair of irrigation system. Assist with the set up and removal of batting practice equipment. Prune and trim trees, shrubs and flowers. Assist in the placement and removal of the infield tarp during inclement weather. Assist with cleanup and maintenance of tools, equipment and the shop work area. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED 1-2 years janitorial/custodial experience required. Good leadership and communication skills necessary. Skills and Abilities: Skills and knowledge to perform routine manual and physical tasks regularly. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment. Exceptional organizational skills and consistent punctuality. Ability to operate grounds equipment. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
