Groundskeeper

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Groundskeeper at Destination El Paso at the El Paso Convention & Performing Arts Center. The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining facility grounds and landscaping. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs exterior cleaning of all grounds inclusive of; slip areas, steps, docks, and lots. Water and maintains facility gardens and landscape. Occasional driving of a company vehicle such as trucks, sweepers or maintenance carts. Maintains and inventories grounds equipment and supplies. Directs part-time personnel on department duties or special projects as required. Working knowledge of general grounds keeping and familiarity with related equipment required. Ability to work flexible/irregular hours. Ability to work with little or no supervision Ability to give directions to other department personnel. Ability to interact with all types of people. Must be able to get along with co-workers, customers, vendors, and visitors. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Education and/or Experience Valid driver’s license. 2 years’ experience in ground maintenance preferred. Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of general grounds keeping and familiarity with related equipment required. Ability to work flexible/irregular hours. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Ability to give directions to other department personnel. Ability to interact with all types of people. Must be able to get along with co-workers, customers, vendors, and visitors to the facility. Work environment Exposure to adverse weather conditions and various cleaning chemicals.
