Banquet Server

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent opportunity for a Banquet Server at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. Banquet Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. SALARY: $16.50 an hour Please note that Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and union membership is a condition of employment. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Banquet Servicer will follow through with the proper and timely set-up and execution of banquet. events. Set up includes tables, chairs. Inspect linen, silver, and china prior to using them. Maintain a high degree of professionalism. Maintain all equipment and facilities in an organized, clean, safe environment. Review Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) at the beginning of each shift to ensure room are. set as contracted. Be in communication with the lead catering staff regarding any special needs. Assist in ensuring that the events are on time. Pass any information that is needed to the next staff member on duty. Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas. Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guest to F&B Manager. Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses. Delivering Alcoholic and Nonalcoholic drinks for service to your customer's table. Properly open and pour wine at the tableside. Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor. Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently. Understands and can communicate products and services available at the convention center. Education and/or Experience Must be 18 to apply. Received High school diploma or GED; Must have current ServeSafe certification. Must have ability to take directions and effectively perform the work. At least (2) year experience as a server. Skills and Abilities Ability to produce high quality food in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, customer service oriented. Strong knowledge of sanitary practices. Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards. Good work ethic Ability to work with other staff members in the facility. Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks. Attention to detail.
