We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our construction team, driving excellence in residential, commercial, and specialty building projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise carpentry crews in the installation of framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish carpentry tasks across multiple projects.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Manage metal building erection, metal stud framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work with precision and attention to detail.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently on-site.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Oversee the proper use of materials such as wood, steel studs, plastering compounds, stucco mixes, and concrete forms; ensure proper storage and handling.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for framing, restoration projects, or site preparation while maintaining safety standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction site management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines including framing, trim carpentry, woodworking, and restoration.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting construction plans accurately.
- Skilled in metal building erection, concrete forming techniques including rebar installation and finishing as well as masonry work.
- Ability to operate power tools such as saws, drills, grinders; hand tools; heavy equipment; and specialized machinery safely.
- Knowledge of construction materials like wood products, metal studs, plastering compounds, stucco finishes; familiarity with schematics for electrical or plumbing systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of basic math skills for measurements; proficiency with tape measures; dimensional measurements; and precise layout work.
- Experience with welding techniques; metal stud framing; heavy lifting; working from technical drawings; interpreting schematics; plastering; drywall finishing; and site restoration processes.
