What You'll Do
- Cost Control & Forecasting: Act as the lead for all cost analysis. Perform cost-to-complete analysis, cash flow projections, and manage budget/contingency reconciliations for complex contracts.
- System Administration: Act as a key user for the cost reporting system (Prolog/PM Web) to ensure commitments, expenditures, and WBS allocation are accurate and reconciled within the LAWA system of record.
- Reporting & Advisory: Prepare detailed reports, charts, and diagrams. Develop creative tools to communicate financial progress and promptly report anticipated cost trends/overages to both technical staff and executive management, advising on corrective actions.
- Contract Review: Review and analyze sub-contractor invoices and task orders to ensure alignment with contracts and proper allocation against the Schedule of Values.
- 10 years of cost engineering experience on large-scale construction projects; Experience managing a team of cost engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- CCE (Certified Cost Engineer) or CCP (Certified Cost Professional) is REQUIRED.
- Demonstrated proficiency with a large-scale cost reporting system; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Design-Build, DBFOM, and Construction Management at Risk (CMAR/Progressive GMPs). Proficiency with Prolog and Bluebeam.
