POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be located at the ASICS America corporate offices in Boston, MA. The successful candidate will work within the Global Product Creation team, focusing on performance running color design. The successful candidate must follow all safety protocols and safe work practices while performing all duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate can expect to gain experience in:
1. Working in a collaborative corporate environment.
2. Developing real world experience creating thoughtful, detail-oriented designs for the ASICS global running line.
3. Working closely with the Color Designers & Color Manager as well as Product Managers, Developers, and Merchandisers to grow your design skills both technically and personally.
4. Researching trends and applying them to the color palette creation process.
5. Learning footwear construction, footwear color application, and designing for a global line.
- Must currently be pursuing undergraduate degree in Art/Design (Fine Art, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Textile Design, Fashion & Apparel Design) at an accredited institution with a graduation date of December 2024 or later.
- Demonstrated experience in the Adobe Suite, particularly Illustrator
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for results.
- Must demonstrate effective decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant design trends and innovation.
- Must demonstrate strong ethics, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and engage in continuous learning.
