Job Title: Social Media and Marketing Manager
Classification: Full-Time; Exempt
Compensation: $48,000 - $55,000
Benefits: Paid time off, health insurance, competitive retirement benefits to eligible employees with non-elective employer contribution and employer match up to 5%
Schedule: Min. 40 hours per week; will be required to work some evenings and weekends

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Social Media and Marketing Manager is a key member of the Marketing and Communications team, collaborating across departments in the creation of engaging content for AST’s external platforms. In addition, this position will support communications across the website, email marketing, and other collateral.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop strategic and creative storytelling concepts to grow AST’s audience and meet engagement goals.
- Create high-quality and engaging original content (images, video, copy) for AST’s external media channels including Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Bloomberg Connects etc.
- Plan, schedule, publish, and monitor social media channels.
- Create data-driven and engaging marketing campaigns across social media channels.
- Write engaging copy/captions and respond to comments and messages with AST’s brand voice.
- Design graphics and collateral for use across platforms.
- Track content performance data and generate reports on reach, engagement, and growth as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, platform/algorithm updates.
- Assist with influencer and user-generated content collaboration when needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the production of marketing materials, including email newsletters, flyers, and graphics.
- Help maintain Asia Society Texas’ website content, including event listings and event recaps.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1–3 years’ experience working in communications or for a nonprofit or cultural institution.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Experience with AP Style is a plus.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office platforms.
- Photography/videography skills and editing.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools including Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics etc.
