Medical Office Assistant
Overview: The Medical Office Assistant is a critical member of the Asia Pacific Surgery team. This position is responsible for multiple aspects of customer service, medical records management, patient scheduling, and other duties as assigned.
To be successful this individual should be able to think critically and function independently, helping to ensure excellent customer service and that patients are supported in a timely manner. The individual in this role will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong customer focus, and be approachable for patient interaction. They must be detail oriented and have a strong ability to multitask.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Clerical Skills
- Greeting and checking patients in/out
- Answering incoming calls
- Effectively plans duties and assignment in order or priority
- Types correspondence accurately and timely
- Files documents correctly
- Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, and photocopying
Medical Records Management
- Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Maintains a system of filing to ensure prompt location of individual records.
- Facilitates timely and accurate medical records management
- Provides for confidentiality, integrity and security of medical records
- Prepare intake forms/consents/surgical charts for upcoming appointments
- Submit Insurance and Breast Implant Registry Information
Other tasks as they present themselves include but are not limited to:
· Assist with OR turnover
· Ordering/Restocking of medical office supplies
Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Two (2) years experience in a customer service role or 1 year(s) experience in a similar position.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
