Job Overview
As Smita10 Interior Design Studio continues to grow, I’m exploring interest in bringing on a part-time Assistant Designer who can support project coordination, creative tasks, and design deliverables. This is not a formal hiring post at the moment — just starting to identify potential candidates who may be a great fit in the near future.
About the Role:
The ideal person has a strong creative eye, enjoys interior design, and excels in organization, follow-through, and digital tools. A design license is not required — passion, diligence, and willingness to learn matter more.
Skill Highlights:
- Basic understanding of interior design concepts, color palettes, and styling
- Strong in project management & organization (important)
- Confident using Canva, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and basic Adobe tools
- Able to create mood boards, spec sheets, and clean client-facing documents
- Comfortable with vendor communication, timelines, and digital file organization
- Bonus: familiarity with sourcing furniture & décor, or any creative software
Position Snapshot:
- Part-time: 10–20 hours/week
- Remote-friendly (DFW preferred but not required)
- 6-month exploratory period with potential to grow into a permanent role
