What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Medication Aide (CMA) - 16-Hour Shifts position at Ashton Medical Lodge?
Weekend double shifts run on a steady rhythm from morning prep through evening pass. You will run med carts and administer routine prescriptions alongside floor nurses. The pace stays consistent throughout the day, allowing you to build familiar routines with residents and floor partners.
Compensation, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay Rate: Starting at $20/hr, scaling upward with experience
- Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 6AM - 10PM (32 hours total)

Responsibilities
- Pass scheduled oral, topical, and routine medications accurately according to physician orders
- Perform light vitals checks, record glucose readings, and log documentation in PointClickCare
- Coordinate directly with charge nurses regarding resident condition changes or refilling cart inventory
- Assist floor aides with basic resident care and transfers during shift lulls
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in Texas
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Texas
- Must pass a standard criminal background check
- Must pass a drug screening
- Reliable transportation for consistent attendance
