Fleet Operations
- Daily Dispatch: Coordinate and manage daily dispatch operations to ensure timely and efficient service
- Route Management: Plan, optimize, and oversee routes to maximize efficiency and service quality
- Driver Supervision: Manage and supervise drivers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards
- Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate driver performance, conduct regular assessments, and provide coaching and feedback
- Driver and Asset Utilization: Measure and monitor driver performance making sure we are fully utilizing our fleet to capacity
- Payroll Management: Process and manage driver payroll, including hours tracking, overtime, and compensation accuracy
- Scheduling: Create and maintain driver schedules, manage time-off requests, and ensure adequate coverage
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of routes, driver hours, vehicle logs, and incident reports
- Compliance: Ensure all drivers maintain proper licensing and meet regulatory requirements
- Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce safety standards, conduct safety meetings, and implement corrective actions
- Incident Management: Investigate incidents and accidents, document findings, and implement preventive measures
- Vehicle Oversight: Monitor vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, and coordinate necessary repairs
- Customer Service: Address service-related concerns and maintain high satisfaction levels
- Experience: 3-5 years in fleet management or transportation operations, preferably with local delivery services
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop driver teams
- Payroll Knowledge: Experience with payroll processing and time tracking systems
- Dispatch Experience: Hands-on experience with dispatch operations and route planning
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of DOT regulations, safety compliance, and driver qualification requirements
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Technology: Proficiency with fleet management software, dispatch systems, and Microsoft Office
- Experience managing private shuttle or employee transportation fleets
- Familiarity with GPS tracking and fleet management technology
