Position Summary
The Furniture Service Technician is responsible for repairing furniture in customers' homes and maintaining damaged furniture on the showroom floor. This role ensures timely, high-quality service by completing most repairs on the first visit and maintaining service inventory and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Repair case goods, leather, and upholstery furniture in customers' homes
- Diagnose damage causes (e.g., manufacturing, delivery, or customer-related) and determine appropriate repair methods
- Perform in-home service calls, aiming to complete at least 85% of repairs on the first visit
- Use specialized tools to fix scratches, cracks, splits, and small leather/vinyl defects—often involving heat curing and color blending
- Replace parts and track inventory for service-related components
- Maintain a clean, stocked service vehicle

Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
