What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery/Warehouse Associate position at Ashley Furniture HomeStore?
Delivery & Warehouse associates are responsible for performing a variety of functions which include, but are not limited to:
- receive and unload incoming product while verifying shipment accuracy and inspecting for damages or defects.
-serve as a secondary relief option for primary delivery drivers (chauffer's license not required initially but preferred)
- have a strong attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills
- assemble and process furniture for deliveries
- serve customers with a high level of courtesy
- schedule may vary depending on routing needs( I.E, 8-10 hour days)
- maintain product, tools, equipment, and keep work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner
- able to lift, lower, push or pull furniture up to and in excess of 150 lbs
- assist delivery drivers with the setup and disposal of furniture according to company policy
- position may require being away from distribution center for extended periods of time while delivering product
- possess a strong commitment to safety policies and procedures
- no overnight stays required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
