What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional II-Transportation Parapro-Kids Link position at Ashland City School District?
Position:
- Paraprofessional II (Bus Paraprofessional-Special Assignment)
- Monday-Friday 8 hour/per day 190 days
- This position is a one-year, non-renew contract for the 2026-2027school year beginning August 17, 2026.
Route: KidsLink, Streetsboro, OH
Qualifications:
- Must have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher learning, OR hold an associate's degree, OR have passed the Teacher Parapro praxis exam.
- Must possess experience working with children with multiple and behavioral disabilities.
- Some heavy lifting required. Must complete CPI and Safety & Violence Training within the first 60 days of accepting position.
- Must obtain an Educational Aide Permit with ESEA Qualifications through ODE prior to the first day of employment.
Special Notes:
- Position requires the ability to work with special needs students.
- Physical ability to handle wheel chairs and other equipment related to special needs students.
- The student's family may elect to stop their student attending school at any given time during this school year. This would void the contract.
Compensation Range: Per the terms of the Negotiated Agreement
