⏰ Hours & Schedule

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• PRN / as needed
• Days will vary
• No supervisory responsibilities
• No travel required

🩺 Your Role: Float RN

As a Float Pool RN, you will deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care across multiple departments—adapting quickly to meet patient needs wherever help is needed most. You are essential in ensuring high-quality care for a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends
• Deliver direct nursing care based on assessments, diagnoses, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications safely using electronic health records and scanning procedures
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments
• Monitor patient status, documenting changes and reporting as needed
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for all age groups
• Maintain safe, clean, and infection-controlled environments
• Prioritize care and use critical thinking in emergency and high-stress situations
• Float between departments as needed, supporting all areas equally
• Participate in orientation, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain competency in all assigned float departments

✅ Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification (obtained during orientation)
• PALS Certification (obtained within 3 months)
• Recent experience in medical-surgical, emergency, or critical care
