Ash & Maple Custom Cabinets is a locally owned custom cabinetry shop specializing in high-quality craftsmanship and client-focused design. We are growing and looking for a motivated team member who is willing to learn, work with their hands, and take pride in building great work.
We are hiring for a CNC Operator with additional Cabinet Technician responsibilities.
No prior CNC experience is required — we will provide training.
Position Overview
This is a shop-based role that supports cabinet production, CNC operation, assembly, and finishing preparation. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new skills in a professional cabinetmaking environment.
Key Responsibilities CNC Operator Duties (Training Provided)
- Operate CNC machine for cabinet parts and components
- Load materials, align sheets, and monitor cutting operations
- Perform basic machine setup and calibration
- Label and organize cut parts for assembly
- Inspect parts for accuracy and quality
- Maintain clean and safe CNC work area
- Follow production schedules and cut lists
- Assist with basic maintenance and tooling changes
No CNC experience required — we will train the right candidate.
Cabinet Technician Duties
- Assist with cabinet and drawer box assembly
- Install hardware, hinges, slides, and components
- Sanding, prep, and material handling as needed
- Read and follow drawings, layouts, and job labels
- Work with shop team to meet deadlines
- Perform quality checks before finishing and install
- Help maintain an organized and efficient shop
Qualifications
- No CNC experience required — training provided
- Willingness to learn and work with hands
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift materials and stand for periods of time
- Basic measuring and math skills a plus
- Prior woodworking or construction experience is helpful, but not required
