Key Responsibilities
- Lead finance-related projects and upgrades, including software rollouts, systems enhancements, and process improvements across departments.
- Oversee cash management, vendor payments, credit facilities, and relationships with banking partners.
- Ensure full adherence to accounting standards and compliance with GAAP.
- Direct month-end and year-end closings, account reconciliations, and the external audit process.
- Deliver timely and meaningful financial reports to senior leaders, translating metrics into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with department heads to identify cost efficiencies and revenue growth opportunities.
- Monitor spending and performance against budgets, providing proactive analysis and corrective strategies.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning models, using advanced tools to evaluate potential scenarios.
- Develop and analyze pro forma projections to assess financial outcomes of new programs and strategic initiatives.
- Advise the executive team on key business decisions, highlighting risks, opportunities, and investment priorities.
- Align financial strategies with operational objectives across divisions to strengthen overall performance.
- Support strategic initiatives such as pricing reviews, expansion plans, and capital projects through rigorous financial evaluation.
- Present financial reports and insights to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Detect and resolve discrepancies, maintaining the integrity and reliability of financial data.
- Collaborate closely with the senior leadership on business development and long-term planning efforts.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting staff to build a high-performing and engaged team.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Proven leadership experience with a collaborative and mission-driven mindset.
- Strong grasp of corporate finance, operational dynamics, and emerging industry trends.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver strategic insights.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with NetSuite is highly desirable. Experience with one of the following is required: NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SysPro, Acumatica, Epicor, SAP, Oracle Fusion or Odoo.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities and thriving under pressure while maintaining precision and focus.
- Strong initiative, organizational discipline, and a commitment to meeting key deadlines.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar course of study.
- Minimum of 6-10 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
- Background in public or nonprofit accounting is a plus.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
