About the position
Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing the Workers' Compensation Statistical Reporting workflow, including monitoring and correcting errors and criticisms received for our Indemnity Data Calls, Unit Stat, and WCPols filings.
• Aid the Workers' Compensation Claims Department with FROI/SROI, indexing, and Medicare reporting as needed.
• Monitor our NCCI 'report card' to ensure compliance and timeliness.
• Review and catalog all circulars received from NCCI and the State Bureaus. Work with the IT team to implement necessary systems updates to meet these new data reporting requirements.
• Maintain data and system requirements and assist with the implementation of new product/program launches for our Workers' Compensation platform.
• Review, reconcile, and submit financial data to our third party vendor to complete annual Financial Data Calls.
• Gain a strong understanding of business processes by leveraging standardized workflows and compliance guidelines.
• Communicate with internal and external partners to collect and reconcile data.
• Test systems to locate possible errors, conduct root cause analysis, and provide recommendations.
• Conduct data analysis and manipulation.
• Identify areas for improvement and create and implement solutions when needed.
• Provide support for other areas within the Reporting, Quality & Control group, including Statistical Reporting for other lines of business.
• Ensure all work is processed accurately and according to Service Level Agreements.
• Provide other ad hoc reports and other data-related requirements as requested.
• Some US travel may be needed.
Requirements
• 3-5 years' experience in the insurance industry
• Workers' Compensation knowledge is required
• Knowledge of Statistical Reporting to NCCI and the State Bureaus is required
• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.

• Some level of programming knowledge is preferred (e.g. Python, R, DAX/Power BI, etc.)
