Position Overview
The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are managed to be completed, with high quality, on-time, on-budget, and in-scope. In this capacity, the Senior IT Project Manager works in collaboration with the Business Unit and IT sponsors to establish project goals and success criteria. The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning and driving the deliverables, including managing third party vendor relationships, if applicable, for the design and development. The Senior IT Project Manager will proactively identify/resolve risks and issues, track/report status, and communicate with the stakeholders. The successful candidate may need to project manage multiple projects at the same time.

Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company.
The salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000

Responsibilities
- Define project goals, success criteria and expectations with stakeholders
- Manage the initiative(s) successfully through all project phases within the given constraints of time, budget, scope, and quality
- Effectively identify and manage change requests
- Learn and conform to all established IT governance and project delivery processes.
- Identify and manage cross-application dependencies and risks, working closely with technical leads and architects
- Create and manage a realistic and credible project plan. Negotiate project deliverables, milestones, and target dates.
- Responsible for collaboration in a matrix organization with globally distributed teams
- Establish and continuously facilitate appropriate communication amongst the stakeholders and teams, ensure clarity on goals, priorities, and concrete responsibilities for all team members.
- Provide regular verbal and documented status updates.
- Work closely with the support team(s) to prepare for and manage the transition and warranty period
- Commitment to The Ascot Way: As a member of the IT organization, the Senior IT Project Manager will embody The Ascot Way in their daily interaction with colleagues, fostering colleague engagement and development, collaboration, inclusivity, and individual accountability
- 10 plus years of professional experience in project management or similar field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in delivery of large-scale IT application implementation projects
- Experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry required
- Exposure to Captives insurance and Program Business is highly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Implementation experience with both off-the-shelf products and custom developed applications
- Ability to manage teams that consist of both company employees and third parties.
- Experience in outsourcing work to outside vendors to achieve deliverables
- Very strong communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Follow a well-structured mode of operation, including detailed project planning with the appropriate level of detail
- Proven track record in delivering program/projects on-time, on-budget, and in-scope
- Experience in managing projects in a global, matrix environment
- Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies( waterfall, agile and kanban) and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
