Title : Python Cheminformatics Developer
Location : Groton, CT (Onsite)
Job Description:
- Develop production-quality Python applications and automation for chemistry data workflows.
- Perform chemical structure curation, validation, normalization, standardization, and duplicate identification.
- Work with RDKit, ChemAxon, or similar cheminformatics platforms for molecular analysis and structure processing.
- Build pipelines for structure ingestion, transformation, validation, and export.
- Use pandas, Jupyter, SQL, and REST APIs for scientific data processing and integration.
- Support compound registration, molecular metadata management, substructure/similarity search, and molecular property calculations.
- Collaborate with medicinal chemists, data scientists, informatics teams, and software engineers.
- Experience with pharmaceutical/life-sciences R&D and AI/ML molecular applications is preferred.
